The tranquil town of Assisi comfortably perches halfway toward Mount Subasion. What make this quiet town so magnificent is wide collection of building in white marble that truly glitter and shimmer. Its serenity is what really drives people to this town. This was also the reason why my whole family spent an
ultimate holiday experience there a few years back. For couples who are after a
peaceful honeymoon encounter, this relaxing town sounds just perfect. Just as we were made laid back, couples will find this place absolutely relaxing.
Rocca Maggiore which traces its origin from the fourteenth century dominates this
simple town. This is a hill and a fortress at the same time that offers beautiful valley view and that of Perugia, a neighboring town. When I first saw this view, I could not almost take my eyes off it's really amazing spectacular sights and so were my family members. Seeing the great basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi just added a fulfilling feeling that further heightened our enjoyment. Other attractions include wonderful churches that include San Pietro, Santa Maria Maggiore, and so much more. It was a different once-in-a-lifetime journey that still haunts us today.
