Being inclined to the classic beauty of the medieval era, I have traveled to the medieval city of Siena in Italy for more than a couple of times. I was really at awe upon setting my sight on this great city. As such, it is an ideal place for an
ultimate medieval holiday. Many structures have been preserved that makes this looks almost exactly similar as it was during the medieval era. Such preservation was brought about by influence of the Renaissance to the Florentines who conquered this city.
Today, this
medieval city is regarded by many travelers as a perfect stop over from Tuscany or Florence. But a simple stop over is not enough for me to enjoy beholding ancient churches and other amazing structural designs. Being a lover of Gothic structures, I took pictures and videos of several well-preserved Gothic-inspired museums, monuments, and similar structures. I must say that Siena is not just a perfect destination, but an ideal place for a romantic honeymoon. As a matter of fact, my partner and I have spent several times together at this beautifully preserved historic and quiet city. The city is also very accessible to modern amenities and facilities that perfectly blend with the city's cultural heritage.
